The Masquerade leaves home in Old Fourth Ward, officially moves to Underground Atlanta

The Masquerade will no longer be one of the Old Fourth Ward’s main staples as it now has a new home in Five Points.

The music venue said every advertised show going forward will take place in the new Heaven, Hell, and Purgatory locations in Kenny’s Alley of Underground Atlanta. Parking for the venue will be in the MLK parking deck with the Underground Atlanta neon sign while the taxi and Uber drop off and pick up point is located at the corner of MLK Drive and Central Avenue, next to the old World of Coke.

United Parcel Service Inc. (NYSE: UPS) will invest $400 million and create about 1,250 jobs at a new logistics hub near Charlie-Brown Airport on the city’s Westside.

Gov. Nathan Deal and Atlanta Mayor Kasim Reed announced the corporate expansion Thursday morning.

The Atlanta Beltline could get millions if Atlanta residents vote for two sales tax proposals on election day, WABE reports.

If both the Atlanta T-SPLOST and MARTA referendum pass Nov. 8, the Betline could get $66 million.
